Privacy Policy
Effective September 20, 2026
This policy explains what Tyrvar collects, why, and the choices you have. Tyrvar is currently an early-access (“alpha”) service, so this policy may be updated as the product matures. This page is a plain-language summary and is not a substitute for legal advice.
1. Information we collect
- Account and contact details — such as your name, work email, company, and role, which you provide when you sign up or use the demo.
- Content you upload — the questionnaires, policies, and supporting documents you submit so the Service can draft answers.
- Usage data — basic technical and product-usage information (for example, pages visited and actions taken) used to operate and improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
- to provide, operate, and secure the Service;
- to analyze your uploaded material and generate draft questionnaire answers;
- to contact you about the Service — for the public demo, we use your email only to notify you when your results are ready plus at most one optional follow-up. We do not add you to a newsletter or send unsolicited sales email.
3. AI processing and service improvement
The Service uses AI models to analyze your material and draft answers. Tyrvar does not train AI models on your uploaded content. To improve the Service, we measure how the system performs — for example, which questions were matched, confidence scores, and where mapping failed. Unless you opt out, we may also review the text of questions the system could not answer in order to expand our question library. Opting out does not affect your results. Uploaded content is not sold or redistributed as a dataset.
Two kinds of AI provider are involved, and they see different things. To match each questionnaire question to the right entry in our question library, we send the text of the question and our own library of canonical questions to a decision-model provider (currently TypeSafe AI), which returns a ranked choice. That provider does not receive your answers, policies, evidence, or uploaded documents, and it is contractually prohibited from training on what it receives. To draft answers, we send the relevant question together with the answer and evidence you have attached to it to a language-model provider (currently Amazon Bedrock), under the same no-training terms.
4. Data retention
We retain questionnaires and documents uploaded through the public demo for as long as reasonably needed, and we delete them on request. For account holders, we retain your content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and we delete it on request subject to any legal retention obligations. Alpha-inquiry details are retained while we evaluate and respond to the request, then only as reasonably needed for relationship, security, and legal records. You may request deletion at any time.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Service under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations, including:
- cloud hosting and storage providers that run our infrastructure;
- AI model providers: a decision-model provider (currently TypeSafe AI) that receives questionnaire question text and our canonical question library to select matches, and a language-model provider (currently Amazon Bedrock) that receives the question, your attached answer, and evidence to draft responses; neither trains on your content;
- authentication and analytics providers used to secure and improve the Service;
- lead-form providers (currently Formspree) that deliver alpha inquiries; and
- scheduling providers (currently Calendly) when you choose to book a call.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Tyrvar and its users.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other safeguards designed to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting the material you entrust to us is central to what we do.
7. Your choices and rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can opt out of question-library review as described above. To exercise these choices, contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection laws.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
