What is a customer sandbox?
A customer sandbox is a separate, non-production instance of a product where customers can test configuration, integrations, or workflows without affecting live data. It may be a copy of their settings or an empty environment. Sandboxes are common in enterprise SaaS and API products.
What the buyer is really asking
Can the buyer test configuration changes or integrations without touching their production data? This is a product feature question. If you offer a sandbox, say how it is provisioned and whether it holds real data.
Other ways buyers ask it
Every one of these wants the same answer:
- “Do you provide sandbox environments for customers?”
- “Is there a test environment for integrations?”
- “Can we test changes before applying them in production?”
Evidence to have ready
- Product documentation for sandbox or test accounts
How Tyrvar answers this
Tyrvar treats every wording above as one question. You write the answer once, attach the evidence, and revisit it when your setup changes. Each buyer gets that approved answer no matter how their questionnaire words it. If you have not answered it yet, Tyrvar flags the question for you and does not make something up. Try it on your own questionnaire.
